Launching the new Photography Site ~ {Central Florida Photographer}
Posted on September 28, 2009
Whilst this blogsite is utterly fabulous, I really feel as though I need a dedicated Photography Site, and so… here it is! (click on the picture to enter!)
I’ve been working really hard on this over the past week and anticipate getting more of my images into the site in the coming months. I have all my old images archived, and there are a lot of them! These are my current favourites and some old favourites I found whilst scouting through my archives.
If you see any glaring mistakes, please let me know!!
Enjoy….
Specializing in Newborn Photography ~ {Central Florida Baby Photographer}
Posted on September 16, 2009
I love taking all photographs, but I simply adore newborn photography. I love photographing babies. I just brings out the best in me, I think, but I do need a lot more practice at this! So, I am expecting my own delivery on Monday next week (my new Camera!!) and am launching my Newborn Special at the same time. There’s a link on the menu bar above for full details, but I’m basically waiving my session fee and providing two high resolution images on CD and a print discount for anyone who books a newborn session. This offer is only valid for sessions that take place through the end of 2009. Click on the link for full details.

The Newborn Papoose …
Posted on September 14, 2009
I listed a whole bunch of cocoons and hats a couple of weeks ago on my Etsy and sold nothing. I reduced the price. Still nothing.
Then, for some reason (I think it was the Today Show featuring newborn photographer, Tracy Raver that did it!) I suddenly start selling everything and now I’m knitting like a fool trying to make new products!
Whilst I’m waiting for my handspun yarn to arrive, I’m knitting with everything else I can find…. and here’s some of the results. (These are all taken with John’s old Nokia N95 Cell Phone as I am still currently camera-less!)

So my camera has gone.
Posted on September 8, 2009
I mailed it off this morning via UPS. It was terrifying. Bubblewrap and those polystyrene peanuts made up over 50% of the package, but it was still a terrifying experience!!!
Hopefully, by this time next week I’ll have a new camera winging it’s way to me. I can’t wait! Terrified and excited at the same time….

….and a little more tweaking …
Posted on September 8, 2009
I am so in love with the expression on her face (picture right below this one) and I cropped it closer to just her and had a play with it some more. This child had such an ethereal quality to her that I think this picture captures it perfectly and I absolutely adore it!

Some new takes on some old pictures …
Posted on September 7, 2009
…. well, not old exactly.
Because my camera is all boxed up and waiting to be swapped out for something new to play with, I’m stuck with no new pictures to play with, so I’ve been going back over some of my past sessions and having a play. Making then “Kerry Edits”…. haha!
Anyway, here you go…..

Goodbye, Olympus …
Posted on September 4, 2009
I have finally decided that it’s time to switch. I have been needing a decent wide angle lens for a long time, but have been putting it off as I’ve been unsure as to whether to continue to invest in Olympus and I realised that it’s just not worth it. I love my Olympus, but the lenses, whilst really good glass, are very, very expensive. The top of the range Olympus DSLR is the E-3 which is a good camera, but not a GREAT camera and it doesn’t even come close to the top of the range Canon and Nikon DSLR’s…. so it’s time to switch.
I started wrapping everything in bubblewrap this afternoon and I’m hoping to uncover some of the boxes this weekend when we clear out the garage so I can send them off looking as good as they did when I got them and get top dollar from Adorama, who I am selling all my Olympus gear to. I am upgrading to a refurbished Canon 40d, which is a wonderful camera and planning on getting a couple of good lenses from them…. enough to keep me ticking over for a month or two, and then slowly build up my lens collection. I am sooooo excited, but going to be cameraless for a week or so, which is SCARY!!
Fingers crossed I am making the right decision!!
