The ‘T’ Family ~ {Central Florida Family Photographer}
Posted on October 31, 2009
Bright and early this morning, I headed out to meet the ‘T’ Family at Blue Springs State Park in Orange City. For those of you in the neighborhood but not in the know, in the winter the local Manatee population flocks to Blue Springs Park to take advantage of the permanently 72 degree water from the spring. You can also swim there. It’s a beautiful park, with a museum to visit and a boat ride along the river…. I thoroughly recommend a visit! It’s still a little warm right now for lots of Manatee’s, but you might get a sighting if you’re patience, and it’s worth it.
Anyway, the reason for my visit to this spectacularly pretty park was to photograph the ‘T’ family. It was not too hot and I think we got some fabulous pictures! I’ve hardly begun to scratch the surface, but these are some of my favourites that jumped out at me right off the bat.
Enjoy this quick sneak peek of what’s to come!

Some fun with my boys ~ {Central Florida Photographer}
Posted on October 28, 2009
I have been playing with my camera a lot this past week as well as with my post-processing methods and I am very happy with the outcome of both, to be honest. It’s been a lot of fun. I tend to be torn between the traditional photograph and artistically enhanced work, for want of a better phrase. I am a purist in a lot of ways, but an artist in others and I often find myself pulled in both directions at the same time. Making sense? Anyway…. for now these are my creative works… and I love them!

This last one required some major rescue work…… but it’s the first picture I’ve taken of both my boys together in a long time. Not for want of trying on my part, either!

Gap Casting Call ~ {Central Florida Child Photographer}
Posted on October 21, 2009
So, today I entered my eldest son into the Gap Casting Call Contest. Every single time I post a picture of him I am told that he should be a model and he is soooo photogenic, he really is. He also enjoys doing it for the most part… I think as much as any seven year old boy likes getting his picture taken!
Anyway, I captured some great shots of him this evening in a quickie session in the back yard and also managed to get one of my youngest, oh miracle of miracles!!
First a texture edit because I was having a play….

Little Miss C ~ {Central Florida Baby Photographer}
Posted on October 7, 2009
Oh, my gosh… this is one super cute little girl! I knew she would be as she has such beautiful big sisters and such amazing genes, how could she be anything but beautiful!!
It was soo much fun photographing her. I have to say that photographing newborns is my absolute favourite thing in the world. It’s fun!! It would have been nice to get a few more, but a phone call from my son’s school telling me he was in the clinic put an abrupt stop to our session. Oh well!
Anyway, without further ado, some pictures. It was sooooo hard choosing my favourites!!!

New Cocoons…

I am just loving these “Eskimo Cocoons” I’ve been making. They are so snuggly, I think they’re lovely!

A small rant …
Posted on October 3, 2009
I am irritated. It’s silly to be, but I am. And it’s such a trivial thing, but it bugs the heck out of me.
I am selling photography props, as I do and I’m browsing around to see what other people are selling as it’s been a little quiet and there are a lot of people getting onto the bandwagon. I find, repeatedly, people claiming that they are the “original” designer of items etc. etc. and that their “cocoon” or “baby pouch” is copyrighted. And inevitably, when I go and look and see how long they have been making and selling these items, it’s in the last six months or so. It’s ridiculous and it’s lying to try and get customers. Isn’t there a law against that? People have been making these items for years. I’m not claiming mine are unique or that I didn’t see what someone else had done and made something similar….. everyone is copying someone with these items most of the time, it just irks me to see people telling obvious lies and I am not sure how they live with themselves. Really.
Okay, rant over….. resume regularly scheduled programming…. and I feel better now! Thanks for listening, if you did… and if you didn’t…. *blows a raspberry*…. Ha!
